About Madalyn

Hey, I am Madalyn and I’m glad you are here. 

I live in northern Nevada on the Idaho border with my husband, Daxton and our daughter, Jewel.  Horses are part of our everyday rhythm. Between training and selling barrel and rope horses, running our program, and raising our family, I understand the importance of reliable, well made gear that simply works.

Madalyn Jim Rope Halters was built on that standard.

I made my first rope halters in high school with my best friend, Sydney. Flash forward to 2020, I met Daxton. He started encouraging me to make halters again. I picked up the hobby again and we were off and running. I would make halters just for us and our family. Soon I started selling a few. I would make four halters, sell them, use the money to buy more material. Wash, rinse, repeat. 
I started making the easy hook design and that is when things took off. I put my own spin on a classic halter. Now, my halters are used all across the US and Canada. My goal is to always improve and expand. 

Every halter is hand made by me using all American-made materials. I don’t outsource production, and I don’t cut corners. I believe in creating clean, functional pieces that hold up to real use, from the pasture to the trailer to the rodeo or horse show.
My goal is simple, to create products that everyone from working cowboys, ranchers, everyday horse enthusiasts, world class performance horse trainers, ropers, rodeo contestants and youth riders can all trust. 

My halters are designed for daily handling. They are straightforward, dependable, and built with intention. Training your horse starts from the moment you walk in the pen to catch them. It is important to have the right tool.
